The home owners reached out to Turco McCarthy to aid them with the AUDC (Atlanta Urban Design Commission) process for exterior renovations and a new roof that had already begun under construction.

We provided as built documentation of the residence, exterior elevations and the roof plan showing the new roof material plus the new rear gable that was to replace the damaged existing gable.

We attended a neighbors meeting, neighborhood meeting and presented to the AUDC commissioners who approved the project although the historic staff did not agree that the roof could be shingled.  They wanted a full clay tile roof which became the primary research and discussion for the project.  Reach out to Allyson for more specific information about the process.
