Client hired Turco McCarthy to design a new ground up retail store and living space in south Atlanta. The retail shop sells fair trade products and was designed as a community space for gathering and display of local artists works.
Adjacent and attached is the owners living quarters including a side and rear screen porch. The City called the project a mixed use space even at 2,000 sf.
The client asked for a modular style with simple lines, a metal roof and bright colors. The front entry vestibule is intended for product display so the client asked it be able to secure pieces so she did not have to bring them into and out of the shop daily.
