A second home on the gulf coast included an old two car garage with attic space.

The clients asked Turco McCarthy to create a guest suite and new stair entrance in the attic of the existing garage by rebuilding the roof line.  Due to the coastal regulations of the Florida coast,

which the property is located near, the design was required to be constructed on the existing footprint and structurally modified.

The adjacency to the neighbor’s yard restricted fenestration on the side elevation.  The project was designed but not constructed.
