Typically, a short exchange will clarify if the project is one we can provide services for. From there, we set up a calendar date to visit you, and any other person involved in the project, to see first hand your residence, your place of business or your investment to hear your thoughts and ideas. At this point, I’ll ask if you want a proposal drafted outlining our services and project fees. The visit and proposal are free.
Saying Yes! With acceptance of the proposal, comes a percentage retainer to set a start date. Most proposals are written for a lump sum fee and not an hourly rate. We estimate our time based on the scope of work and a range of hours.
Start Day….with the majority of our work, we require as built documents. As built documents are what they read, documents measuring the current existing conditions. This is critical as a starting point to know how an addition or renovation will work with an existing property. Afterwards, we start designing concepts and will schedule times to meet and review with you! Depending on the project, we will discuss and address issues such as zoning, the permitting process and selection of FF&E. We can help recommend contractors and other necessary consultants. Collaboration is important to consider early in the process.
Our proposal will include permitting requirements and additional services plus any pertinent information to make the process as smooth as we can during the process.
